It's good to know there's not some internal seal problem. I'll try re-seating it.
By the way, when the oil leaked out, it ran down by the oil level sight gauge (where the exhaust pipe is about a half inch away) and baked onto the engine. Now I have an ugly shiny brown-black spot on the side of my crankcase. Do you think this will burn off, or should I try to remove it with some steel wool and brake fluid?
I know it's picky, but the rest of the bike is so clean!
